A non-profit organisation run by the community for the community. It offers a 25 meter swimming pool, separate toddlers pool, sauna, and steam room. There is also a state of the art Gym renovated in 2018. Swimming and fitness classes are available.
Birr Leisure Centre is a social enterprise run by the community for Birr and a multitude of its surrounding areas. It has grown and developed over the years to a facility that is opened 364 days in the year offering a 20m swimming pool, a toddlers pool, a health suite including sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and cryotherapy unit, a fully stocked gym accompanied by units for classes and clinics. BLC provide a huge range of swimming and fitness classes all year and work with many schools and agencies to ensure facilities are used by the most marginalised through an affordable pricing structure. They implement the highest standards and train and upskill all staff to meet latest guidelines.
