Date: Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th of June
Location: Ferbane
About: There were scenes of unbridled emotion and great joy in Ferbane last weekend when it was confirmed that its music festival was back on track after a two-year hiatus! Last held in 2019 because (before COVID) to huge acclaim and to capacity crowds the line-up for this year’s festival has been revealed. There were gasps of amazement and jaw-dropping wonderment when the world-reowned Scottish trio ‘Talisk’ featuring the combined talents of Benedict Morris, Mohsen Amini and Graeme Armstrong were revealed as heading the bill on Sunday night. There was followed by further euphoria when Ireland’s greatest trad exponents Martin O’Connor, Cathal Hayden and Seamie O’Dowd were announced for the Saturday night extravaganza. The hugely popular Splendid Isolation and the Briar Hotel Big Band also make a welcome return to Ferbane this year. There will be two stages hosting the live music at the venue at Gleeson’s, Main Street, Ferbane. Tickets are already being snapped up even as we speak and are available at Traditude.ie. Day tickets for Saturday & Sunday are available at €35 or take the entire weekend for €60. Truly the Traditude Festival in Ferbane is the only place to be for the first weekend of July 2023.
