The Suicide Bereavement Liaison Service Pieta (SBLS)
The Suicide Bereavement Liaison Service Pieta (SBLS) is a free & confidential service that provides assistance & support to families & individuals grieving the death of a loved one by suicide. The Suicide Bereavement Liaison Officer (SBLO) can meet with you or your family in your own home, a centre or at a location that best suits you. You may have specific questions about some of the difficult practical issues following the death of your loved one, for example: the grieving process, how to speak to a child about what has happened, the role of the coroner, the inquest etc. You may want guidance or assistance in accessing a therapeutic service, or even just want to talk with somebody about what has happened. We can also offer support to communities that have been impacted by suicide, through public talks and training. In any case we welcome your call.
