An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD recently officially opened the transitional living neuro-rehabilitation centre at Teach Fáilte in Mountbolus.

Teach Fáilte is part of the complex of supported housing developed by the Mid-Offaly Housing Association and Anvers Housing association. The rehabilitation service is run by Aquired Brain Injury Ireland (ABI Ireland) which is funded by the HSE.

The facility provides a service to people who have suffered brain injuries prior to their return to the community.

OLDC provides ongoing support to this project under its Tús Scheme (Community Workplace Initiative). Workers under the scheme play a role in caretaking, administration and other duties at the centre. The facility has also received support under the Rural Development Programme (2007 - 2013) for the development of a community sensory garden and landscaping on the grounds.
